Chuck
Mound is one of the pioneers in the speed training field, since
1992 he led the cross over into the sport specific training for athletes.
As a football and track star at Rutgers University, Mr Mound worked to
improve his performance with a variety of techniques which led to world
class numbers including a 4.21 40 yard dash, 38 inch vertical jump, 10
foot broad jump, 615 pound parallel squat, 425 pound bench and 335 pound
hang clean at 185 pounds. With his degree in Exercise Science and his
success with training, the Mound System was born. |

STRAHAN BET During the 2005 New York Giants training camp, Giants Captain Michael Strahan bet that "4.2" Chuck could not even run a 4.4 40 yard dash. So, the next day on his 35th birthday and no training, Chuck Mound ran a 4.31 on his first attempt on 4 watches including head strength coach Jerry Palmieri, Shawn O'Hara, Jeremy Shockey and Michael Strahan. |
